It is difficult to explain the validity of a meta analysis study when the summary is the only part that can be accessed through your links.
Apologies for not being more clear. Please select one or more studies you've used to base your position upon and explain what makes it a good and sound study applicable to the discussion at hand, that being the use of statins for those without diagnosed CVD.
The meta study I linked, amongst others I've reviewed, purport that statins are not shown to be overall beneficial for those without CVD, much to what JB appears to be presenting. The studies I've seen that support "statins for all" have serious methodology or other compounding failures and while they make great headlines are not much more than junk science for somebody to make a buck.
