SE Wisconsin | We are hoping this weeks rainfall will bring a abundant grass growth... I still will not have enough grass for all my cows.
Do you think it's better to put the cows with calves on grass, and keep the pregnant heifers/cows in the dry lot... Or put cows with calves in dry lot, and put pregnant cows/heifers out to pasture ?
Dry lot cattle will have access to grass/alfalfa hay and baleage...
I have 35 cows... About 20 calve April/May... And the other 15 will be August/September/October....
