The information below about the farm credit situation took my mind to Wayne Crytes and his experience. He wrote a book about" One Man With Courage The Wayne Crytes story. I met him a few times many years after the experience I really enjoyed talking to him he told me about the book so I bought it and read about the experience. The condensed version is grain elevator went broke he could not get his soybeans or his money. He ended up going in and taking his soybeans. Bankruptcy judges family was tied into the situation so things were very shady. He ended up spending a lot of time and money on the situation. That combined with the agricultural economy of the early 80s broke him. I was young went happened but remember hearing about it. We are only about an hour and half away. I was wondering if anyone here is from that area knew about it.
