Subject: Corn silage pricing

Lewisburg, PA
I ve been selling corn silage to a 500 cow dairy that we work in partner ship with. Last year we had a good crop and set prices before corn went through the roof , so I.. missed out big time. I plant the corn they chop it and bag it .We are very dry here in central pa. Almost all the corn is early planted corn, perfect start and held it's own. Now looking at corn all over the place 3-8 feet tall . I sell it by the ton so If it makes ten ton I'll be happy. What is the right way to price the fluff with 50 bhl corn in it. I don't wnat it priced what my dairy farmer feels its worth. Local price for grain here is still good around 4.00 . So that that 50 bhl is worth a lot. What is a good way to figure it out ? thanks luke
