Subject: Manure Spreader: Truck mount or pull type?

Schomberg, Ontario, Canada
I will be looking to get a good vertical beater spreader down the road for my organic operation, and am debating on whether to go for a truck mount or a pull type spreader. I like the idea of truck mount for the sake of it being a little faster on the road, but I am concerned about infield operation. I would be spreading on corn ground in the spring, and stubble in August or September, so unless there is a wet year, I shouldn't be too bad. I will be having most of my manure delivered to the farm, but I wouldn't mind the ability to be able to pick up some local manure as well. Would you use a tandem truck with floaters of some size or just go with the regular truck tires? I would likely get a spreader in the size of 600-800 bushels. Thanks for the thoughts.
