Eastern Ontario
The 3 pt hitch on my JD 8630 lifts very slowly when the oil gets hot. Lifts good when cold. Sounds like a leak I guess. Checked the  plug in back of tranny case to see if lid was broken, but not the case. Says in my book the flow control valve regulates the lift speed. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be one on my tractor. Where is the speed regulated from?  Took out the Valve inside a valve thing in the front of the rockshaft regulator housing. It doesn't look so hot. The inside pin valve is a little scored. New one comes as an assembly and is fairly expensive. Could this be causing the slow lift? Anything else I could check before I order a new one?
