Eastern Ontario | Got a 20 foot homemade litter spreader. I'm going to spread a compost material which likes to bridge in the spreader. Sometimes only about 6" at the bottom of the spreader comes out and the rest just stays there. I have tried graphite and painted it on the inside to make it slide better , but it only lasts for a short time. My question is: What do you supposee is causing it to bridge? Too much slippage and the material gets compressed at the bottom or not enough slippage? I've looked into putting some plastic sheets on the inside but it's very pricey. Is there anything that can be sprayed in that will last a long time. Getting sick of poking the stuff loose. Or maybe should I weld something on the walls to slow down the material so it won't get so compressed? Not sure what my problem is. Anybody ever have this experience?
