Central Kansas | Recently there were a couple of pictures of small pickups...a toyota and a nissan from down under, and they had flatbeds instead of the usual box bed. These really interest me as it might make a mini 4 wheel drive pickup a good farm/ranch 'running' truck with easier access to carried items.
Problem: I have performed a couple of net searches and cannot seem to find a manufacturer of such items. A friend here in Kansas who does pipeline inspections said he saw lots of them in SE Kansas and thought beds were made down there. Anyone know anything about manufacturers for these beds....especially in this neck of the woods.
Also...if anyone has a small pickup with a flatbed, homemade or otherwise, I would be interested in your comments as to usability and practicality. Maybe I just think this would look cool and it isn't a very good idea. | |
