NEMO | Just picked 3 gallons of cherries off my tree this morning. I can almost smell the pie now. First pickin this year. I won't make the mistake again like I did a few years ago. Thought I would let them ripen another day and have more to pick. When I got home from work, there were none to pick. The birds and the squirrels had a feast and didn't leave any for me. Now I don't wait, instead, I bust it to beat them, but I do leave some in the very top for them to fight over. The Black Birds were scolding me all morning while picking. | |
