Subject: Dryland corn farmers

Martinsville, Ohio

How much corn can your produce with 5 inches of rain?

I know it is a loaded question but just wondering as I can't believe the ears we have with the little rainfall.

Turned off hot and dry now and I figure this crop is done.  Put a fork in it.

We have different soils but I figure yours are better.  We had a wet year last year so don't know how that figures in but it looks like we planted on time and the crop rooted to the declining moisture zone.

Can you raise 140 with 5 inches?
