NE SD | When it comes to bragging rights I don't think I'd stand a chance here the last 2 yrs. Followed a plan that said sell ahead, sell the carry and sell at a profit. While I'm still in business that plan has cost me a pile of cash. The non forward contractors are going to come in way ahead. I have lost much more in last 2 yrs than I ever gained by selling ahead in yrs past. How does this compare to yours?? ) 06 corn average 2.60 07 corn if sold the rest today about 3.60 07 beans about 9.00 average. Oh and this does not count the 15K I spent on put options last spring that expired worthless.
I will still keep selling ahead in HTA's for 08 crop and hope I can get a better average.
