Jersey Shore, PA | Had this chart tacked on my bulletin board for a year. I cut it out of Corn & Soy digest last Jan. It is thier corn price prediction based on acres vs yields for 2007 crop year. There are seperate lines for 83 thru 88 million acres. The left side represents the price and the bottom=yield. I checked the Jan numbers from last weeks report and actual harvested acres of corn were 86.5million with a natl yield of 151.1. Plugging this into thier chart gives an expected price of 3.60. Actual Jan price= around $5.00. That's quite a difference. Just thought it was an interesting comparison. On the side of the chart says: "source: brock associates."
