Subject: white porcelon insulators on a T post

Is there a "right way" to fasten white porcelon (spelling?)insulators to T posts for fencing with a electric hot wire?I wire them but they seem to hang down more than I like.I could use plactic , but I dont care for most that I have tried. The porcelon ones last for ever, The plastic ones only last a few years as the sunlight destroys them or the snow pulls them down and ruins them and they get really soft and bend-able when it gets this hot.
