Subject: robheyen..... Crop insurance question........

west Tennessee
Rob, thanks soo much for your crop insurance posts, you can make me understand crop insurance better in a few words than I often get from a few hours with my agents.... My question is where can I go to get the Grip payment information you supply here on this sight, but for other states such as my home state of tennessee. been real interested in Grip/ Grp insurance here but my agent has yet to provide me with 10 year average nass yields or 10 year average payouts,,, The county average for us is only about 110 bushels per acre on corn as it has been a very small portion of the crop pattern here in our county and is ussually planted on hill ground and treated like a step child to cotton. my averages are only about 110 as well, however all of our corn acres will go into deep bottom land soils this year and would expect a realistic yield of around 150 bushels.. Tends to make me scratch my head when considering ra vs grip insurance on corn this year, Dave
