NW Ohio | Talked with one of my suppliers today about this fungicide mess and this is what he told me. He had fungicides ordered and paid for from his distributor either in Dec or Jan but had not received the product. Distributor told him they did not have the product to ship. He was told that the product he had paid for he will get but it will not be at the price he had prepaid it at. The product he had prepaid for at the early price would now be the new higher price. This is a question for you chem retailers, Who is to blame? Is it the distributors or the manufactures, or both? How can my dealer get me a price on product unless he is looking at the product himself. Can a company that has taken prepay and a purchase order actually raise the price and not honor the price they agreed to charge for the product he paid for? What am I missing in all of this? | |
