| My son has a 04 f350 w/powerstroke 6.0 . It started to make a little turbo noise so he took it in to Ford dealer to check it out and do some recall work. Well, of course, the turbo is out and the dealer quoted $1800 to put on a new turbo. I questioned if a aftermarket turbo is available and again, of course, they said no and if it was, it would void the engine warranty. This pickup only has 30K on it and the one independent guy I talked to said that if a aftermarket turbo was put on, it would probably be a rebuildable style and better made ( and cheaper!) Does anybody have any experiance with these? Rob D | |
