Subject: Problems with new grease guns, anybody else?

Is anyone else having problems with the pistol grip grease guns sold today? It's no wonder nothing gets greased like it supposed to, every time you grab the grease gun the da** think won't work. Two brand new John Deere grease guns and one off brand laying on the work bench with the same problem, just want to pump air. In the event you do get them to work they want to leave about 1/3 of a tube of grease in the gun that they refuse to push out. I initially blamed it on "cost reduction" that led to a weaker spring pushing the plunger. So I took a spring scale to compare the force needed to compress the spring in the "NEW" guns and the trusty standby that's 15 yrs. old. Both took 20 lbs of force to compress them. So what gives??? Anyone else having problems?
