Subject: Another cotton harvesting question, while we're at it.

Anybody pick cotton in second gear? Yeah, I know, 'first gear is for picking, second is for scrapping,' but why not pick in second? Will you get too much trash in the cotton, or bark, or what? I've picked in second a very little, when I was in a hurry to finish a field so that we could move the next morning before the dew was dry, and never seen any problem that I'm aware of. Any opinions?
