Eastern Iowa | It's that time of year.
Looked in the dresser this morning and I am on my last sweatshirt. Happens this time of year--too chilly for short sleeves early in the AM, but you bail out of the sweatshirt by midmorning, and forget where you put it by the time you go to the house at night.
I am sure there's at least one in every tractor cab, several in the shop, one or two behind the seat of my truck.
One time a couple of years ago I discovered one--actually one of my favorite long sleeve sweatshirts that had been missing for months--laying over a post and beam in the mow of the barn 20 feet up in the air. I had taken it off to stack hay one morning, promptly forgot about it when I went on to the next thing, and nobody noticed/bothered to bring it down when they began emptying the mow. I had to get a ladder to get it down. I had always accused my hired man of taking it, because he knew I liked it, but it turned up.
Good sweatshirts always seem to. Eventually. | |
