| Around April 28th I purchased a cow with a calf on her side that was born Feb 4th. The cow was exposed to a bull for a week so I followed up and gave her 5ML of Lutalyse since we are AI-ing her. Fast forward to 2 Thursdays ago. Gave her a shot of GNRH and inserted a CIDR. A week later I pulled the CIDR and gave her a shot of Lutalyse. Observed standing heat and prepared to AI. Upon palpating a calf was discovered.
Is the calf going to be ok? Any issues I should be aware of or any precautions I should take? | |
