Iowa | Looking at putting up a shed for equipment storage. Got a couple quotes from “pole barn companies” and a few from local contractors. Local guys are about 10% more. The one crew I had put some doors on another barn for me, all English speaking, nothing against Hispanic labor, but it’s nice to not have a language barrier, obviously the local crew is within 20 miles of me, “big guys” are out of area. I know when we put up out nursery the Hispanic crew was great, and even my service guy commented it was really well built, but he’d also seen some horror stories. Do the “pole barn” guys do a better job, given that’s all they do? How much is it worth to support the local communities vs out of area.
Also thoughts on durability between pole barn and stick built?? | |
