Manola,Ab, Ca | The winter log haul season has come to an end. The picture I’m posting turned out to be my last load as I had truck mechanical issues. This was a load of oversized logs. During processing any butt logs over a certain dimension are sorted off. I believe this is because the mill cannot saw them on the regular line. Someone had gone through and put the measurements on the log. I think the largest I noticed was 78 cm. I don’t know how often the mill runs oversized logs but I noticed that the pile from last year was still sitting there. I was helping another contractor finish up this week and he had two loaders and I think 12 trucks running last night and moved 77 loads last night with an average weight of 42-43 tonnes.
