Subject: Magnum engine O ring issue and warranty

Nw Iowa
I’m looking at buying a 2014 case ih magnum 250. It has 1990 hours. The coolant additive was added at the dealer in 2020 per the case ih “PIP” program.. ?? The extended warranty on the engine if those o rings fail is sept 30 2024. My questions are : was there a serial number cutoff where this isn’t as big of issue? Also if the engine hasn’t had any issues with coolant leaking up to this point will this be a non issue going forward? The first 4 letters of the serial number are (ZERF). I’m not that familiar with this issue as it would be my first Magnum tractor. Would this issue and the fact the warranty ends in September scare you away from the tractor? It’s a very clean unit with really good maintenance history. Thank you in advance for any info.
