Subject: RE: Pole barn

SE Michigan
10% of the cost of a pole barn is a fairly good chunk of change (?)

Ask yourself this. If the local guy needs to charge you 10% more to stay in business what does that say about his business practices? Is he counting on "charity" to stay in business?

Does he show up in his $80k pickup to give you a quote? Does he live in a house 6x bigger then yours? Nothing wrong with either, just sayin that he has to pay for it some how, and that is probably YOU

I have both, Morton built and a "local" built barn, pluses and minuses to both. Morton was the first (bigger bld. and less then local quotes) Several yrs. later I got a good reference of a local guy and his sons that put up barns, price was right / little less then Morton so I went with him.

Also should note - ZERO issues with either barn (other then the casing for the walk in door in the local built barn is rotting - the Morton is perfect even after being 7 years older)
