Vet told me 1/2 an aspririn is enough for any dog to around 120 pounds. Aspirin can be hard on the dogs stomach and eat the lining out their stomach. The dog can develop an ulcerated stomach.

Vet did say aspirin effects dogs alot more because of their physiology and 1/2 an aspirin 2x a day is the max they can handle.

I've seen it happen in a dog that weighed about 60 lbs. Dad refused to cut an aspirin in 1/2 as Vet had told him. Over time wound up poisoning the dog,, refused to listen to me too.
