May be true in rich farm country. For me, I'm running $25 to $50k machines over 4500 acres instead. And cows clean up the aftermath. And we custom hay when cash flow gets tight. I guess all I'm saying.............is that some of us only know tough times.

I don't think I have it bad............it was like this when I started, and it's the same now. Living the dream!


The high plains seem to really kick everyone else's rear end on machinery investment an acre. Big fields so you are efficient and not having to worry about a rain chasing you out of the field you can get by with some pretty low budget machinery.
