This thread topic reminded me of this

A number of years ago on this site there was a discussion about marketing and earning the highest " batting average" price for corn or beans for a crop year.

One farmer chimed in with this. He and his wife were equally involved in their crop selling But they differed on tactics. So game on

They agreed to this challenge

So he took half the bushels and made percentage sales throughout the year. He tried to pick the highs. He may have used a consulting service; I can't recall?

She, on the other hand, took her half the grain and divided by twelve. and she sold her grain monthly in equal amounts . She called elevator n sold cash grain on same day ( example, 10th of every month) I remember the farmer said when they compared ave prices for the year, she won hands down
