Subject: RE: How does buying land get me ahead in my environment

Ripley, Ontario Canada
My goal is to have a successful business and right now I don’t think that includes buying more land. I don’t mind working hard but throwing money at an investment that has such a negative return doesn’t make sense to me. I understand that certain pieces of land may only be for sale once in a life but you can only lose so much on the farm next door before you don’t have the farm you started with either.

Still don’t understand how the mega farms are gaining by investing in land at these prices. I know where the money is coming from if they have lots of acres paid for you can get a fair bit of cash in the short term but I think they are shorting their farm the working capital they will need as interest stays high and everything else is more expensive
