Central MN | Drop ships are nice for that reason and I tend to charge them out at different pricing levels for good clients. If they are slow to pay probably not. I don't charge finance fees to keep my books simpler but I should... As a solo vet I question why I handle product at all some days.
Last fall I ordered certain products ahead of chute work /BRD season and one specific product dropped enough in the last 5 months that I'm out 320+ a bottle compared to what it's now retailing for at online pharmacies vs what I paid from distribution.
That's a kick in the nuts cause I won't make any friends charging that at cost. And it wasnt just 1 or 2 bottles
Sometimes being a farm vet is like farming ya win some and lose some. Guess that's why most vets focus on kitties and puppies. I can say I like what I do though, but it's definitely not all money making schemes and cornered markets. | |
