| My neighbor has been on a rented half section for 30+ years. He won a rent auction bid on a farm 10 miles away. Someone called up his landlord and offered him the same price for the half section he had been farming for 30 years. Turns out this bid was $280 higher than he was paying. His lease was terminated the next Sept. and he had a huge increase from the landlord who felt slighted. | |
