Soybeans after COC will average another 5 bpa than soybeans following corn in a rotation.

We are in SWIL and from my experience if a field has been COC for 3 years or more that could be 10bu better, but 5 is a pretty safe number. We raise mostly seed beans so with the benefits of that corn and beans are about as close to even as they have been in quite a few years. For our costs it takes 230bu corn to beat 67bu beans so for us that is about a wash. We have been pretty heavy corn for the last 10 years. We will still have some COC in 2024 but we have a couple farms that have been in corn for 10 years and I think we may roll them to beans for a year.
