Southern Missouri | I have some land that’s kind of by itself , wanted a shed on it because couldn’t build one in the subdivision my home is in ,house is in city limits and farm is close , both a good ways from where we farm , the other 60 acres on the farm we rented to a local farmer , the rent from him was as much as the crp payment we get now after we decided to crp it , farm office has worked with us and inspected what we’ve done and the wildlife is thick , even got a few quail there now, we enjoy the farm much better in crp than we did renting it out for crop production, not trying to prove anything, I don’t think the crp payment is propping up the area land price anymore than the guy renting it was and I know wildlife in the areas s benefiting from it ,what am I seeing wrong with crp ? I guess I’m dumping it off on John Q. Public and showing my ignorance,I can guarantee that’s not hard for me to do.
