SE SD | I'm talking about large nationwide droughts. Not regional droughts. 2019 had the highest PP acres ever recorded. 19 million some acres. 2012 was a nationwide drought that affected almost everybody. You can even see it on the trendline yield chart how big of a drop 2012 was. My point is, large nationwide natural disasters that cause major market moves don't happen that often. It's mostly regional problems, with the lions share of other regions of the country making up the difference. So split the difference 1 in 25 year drought & flood events. | |
