Mid Michigan | When I was in school you would very likely get smacked in the back of the head for damaging your desk. Teachers could use physical violence on us if they wanted to and they quite often did. I would say 100% of it was justified too! I got in my share of trouble and I deserved any of the punishment I got. I remember a friend and myself getting the paddle from the principal as early as the 2nd grade. Pretty much lifted us right of the ground 2 times. That will bring a tear to your eye. We deserved it. I remember all the women working in the office snickering when we came out. | |
