When I was young all the kids sat in the front pews right in front of the NUNS!!! and man you didn't dare misbehave LOL, then as yrs. went by we were able to sit with our parents, not much better you acted up you caught hell. and back then the boys would fight to get to serve if someone didn't show up,now the the old guys have to serve cause the kids won't,parents bring toys, food, books and not religous one's to keep the kids occupied, and they are up running to the bathroom all the time, I try not to let it bother me it's their choice, we too had a priest that stopped folks form leaveing early he at least wanted them to wait till he and the servers got to the back of church,and that the kids went to the bathroom BEFORE mass started, I liked this one, lot of others didn't anyway I was told the church don't care how you get the kids to church or what it takes to keep them there just get them there. THE TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGING!! Bob | |
