The guys going conventional when most of the state is GMO are benefiting from herd immunity. If the whole state went conventional spray planes would once again be thick in the skies and the program would be a failure. Western corn borer is devastating for us. Before GMO we would very seldom see a tassel at harvest. Without the herd immunity, conventional seed would be a shipwreck.
You are spot on. NGMO corn growers are freeloading on the backs of their neighbors who plant overpriced GMO corn. Hopefully the majority will continue to plant GMO corn. Reality is GMO corn growers are subsidizing NGMO corn growers bottom line. |
