We’re in El Niño currently, the prediction is to roll back into La Niña by mid summer. If La Niña comes earlier than expected then dry warm conditions will occur this summer much like last summer. The difference being that we weren’t in El Niño last winter, and that’s why we’ve been so mild and dry in the Midwest this winter
