The only way I can see that happening is if the both fields are nearly dead level and the tile itself provides more grade than the main or the surface grade. I don't think that's the case here, based on the part of Iowa I can see, but there's also not much tile in that part as far as I know. More terraces and waterways, but maybe some tile. I'd guess the problems would be more blowouts and not so much an issue of fields waterlogged for a week because the main is backed up. |
