High Marbling genetics tend to be antagonist to growth and feed efficiency so if people just want cheap burger yeah it makes sense.(yes you can have both in the same animal but it is harder and the two traits cannot both be optpmized for at the same time without hurting the other one. Cant say for sure if you are right or wrong.
