Sometimes it's the little things that give it a personality.
...I bought a used 12-gauge Remington pump in the box that did that. NOT new gun, but like new, with very little age and no blemishes or wear so frustrated owner traded it in to dealer. Previous owner said he had many guns and it never got used anyways because of ejection problems. Certain shells worked better but they all "stove piped" some most casings backwards in the ejection slot. After digging many loads out and experimenting with ejector and new parts, in frustration I shoved a piece of paper towel behind the simple riveted flat ejection spring on the backside to give it more tension. it hasn't missed throwing out but a empty casing or two in round in hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of rounds. To this day that paper town shim lives under that spring. |
