Our front yard was a confederate camp till Sherman came from Columbia SC headed to Fayetteville NC then the union camped. There has been buckets of bullets found by a civil war historian on this property and buckles and bridle buttons coat buttons silver coins etc. My neighbors house was used as a headquarters for confederate and union it was not burned when Sherman came through, under the staircase the confederate keep a union spy he was to be hung and wrote his last will and testament and signed his name forgot name but he was from Illinois I’ll get some pictures of house tomorrow and post them.
