Lot is going to depend on government policy. Are they going to keep supporting large scale farming? Pumping subsidies into 50-100,000 acre farms? Or are they going to support only smaller farms. The larger farms will have a hard time with supporting electric tractors as they will need the high end horsepower. Seems so far equipment manufacturers are gearing up for the high horsepower equipment. However will that continue? I see 50/50 of both. I see the farmer with a non farm job and farming with an EV computerized satellite tractor and be able to operate it from his desk computer at work. And I see those few large farmers with 1000 hp tractors and combines farming from the Mexican border to the Canada border. Some of this will however take longer then 20 years and probably closer to 100 years. Drones will come more into play in the next 10 years but in time satellite imagery and control will be the main driver.
