NW Iowa | I would trust a clinical sleep study before a home study just in case something weird is going on. I have both restrictive and central (brain wave) apnea. It took three clinical sleep studies to figure it out. The pulmonologist told me this is rare. I would stop breathing for such a long period I would wake up gasping completely out of air, I couldn’t breathe hard enough to replenish the lack of oxygen. It’s to the point where I feel I might die in my sleep without using the machine. The machine got me down to one apnea per hour. Without the machine I was having 60 apneas per hour. | |
