Trickle down economics has been proven to be a non working system. Money actually flows to the rich not down.

My definition of fair is what benefits the greatest number of people while still finding the government to keep society moving. Someone has to pay for the highways and a myriad of other things.

Saddling that cost to predominantly the poorest among us is un American. I don't know many presidents that would have agreed with your position. This country was founded by people that wanted to break away from the shackles of feudalism in Europe. A flat tax would send us on a rocket sled back to that type of economy. We are already heading that direction this would only decrease the time.

Oh please, set aside the highway shtick. Every tax ever created was to pay for roads or schools, but those are still chronically underfunded while there are plenty of grants to solve gender issues. Furthermore, the gas tax is arguably the most regressive and abused of the taxes we have these days. Low earners spend a huge portion of their income on fuel while “the rich” buy an EV and skirt road taxes, which are often diverted to practically everything but roads anyway.

Your definition of fair is irrelevant. You thinking it, doesn’t make it so.

I never proposed a flat tax, I said consumption taxes. There is a difference.

You are wrong about pretty much everything here. Victimhood and narcissism aren’t serving you well.
