VT | I have never seen a simple breakdown on that, as there a lot of variables that are hard to quantify (speed of pitch, speed of swing, location of impact on bat, launch angle off the bat, specs of the bat, specs of the ball, etc). That being said, my unscientific observation from the cold north where kids don't play year-round is that about 10-20% of 12 year old players can occasionally hit the ball over a 200' fence. No doubt that percentage climbs a bit down south. | |
