jdironman - 3/16/2024 19:21 I pay full bore on the Obama care and wife and I combined have 12000 deductible plus slightly over 2500$ a month for Obama care. I don’t mind paying my own, get sick of paying for 2 or 3 others. Affordable care act means unaffordable care to many. At least we are older and close to Medicare, our kids that are self employed really get soaked for their age and risk.

WHY, would anyone pay that ? We have our own insurance, $5k deductible (each so $10k max), slightly over $600 per month.  We are 58 & 59
It's not hard to get quotes for insurance. I can NEVER understand people taking a mediocre paying job "because of benefits"  I know several who quit doing what they enjoyed to take a town job they hate - for "benefits"  .
