Southeast Colorado | Cool story.
I've got one more quick one. A little over 20 years ago my teenage son was helping me service a pivot. While we were out in the field a Blackhawk style helicopter came right above us and hovered not too far up. Later we heard that around that time the military/national guard was out looking for marijuana growing in the irrigated corn fields. There was a guy sitting with his legs outside the cabin where a door was slid open. He had a big machine gun of some sort. We waved up at him.............and he didn't respond at all. They stayed there for about 20 to 30 seconds and flew off. We sure felt pretty small............and outgunned, but it sure gave my son a great story to tell his classmates!
