| We have a 9 year old Border Collie that has a growth on her toe on her rear foot. We had the vet look at it earlier this winter and was told not a big deal keep a eye on it. Went back to the vet this week because it's bigger and now it might be cancer but the vet didn't do a biopsy. The growth doesn't bother the dog at all but it is an open sore so at some point it could become infected .
If the vet amputates the toe the dog will have to wear a cone and be inactive for 2-3 weeks and be indoors, that would be impossible for this dog. Looking for suggestions and some experience from anyone that has gone through something like this. | |
