My wife and I have a 2 year old yellow lab that the local vet diagnosed with a torn ligament in his leg.  The vet called it pretty much equal to a human having a torn acl in their knee.  He also said to get it fixed would cost between $1000-$5000.  I was curious if anyone else has had a dog with this problem and what the surgery consisted of.  Can they walk on ir right after surgery, does the dog have to wear a cone, is the price in that range????  We have been giving him some glucosamine joint enhancer which seems to help some.  But I know that that won't fix the problem.  Thanks!
