| We have a lab that had the same thing happen. torn ligament in her knee. Vet sent us to Oklahoma state Universty to find out for sure. They gave us several options ranging from $1500 to $5000 to fix her. they call my vet and he called me and said they could do the surgery for $250. This was a year ago. she was 4 years old at the time. so we had the local vet do it. She came out really well. He put the puppy back into her now you can never tell she had problems. When she came home you couldn't tell she was in any pain at all. about 6 to 10 weeks of keeping her in a 4' by 8' pen to keep her from running around. keep her on a leash when potting her (she would drag me around). Best $250 we ever spent. all he did was tie the joints together with a string. there is more to it than that but i'm not a doctor and don't understand. We are very glad that my local vet did it. | |
